Today Mackenzie brought her pet possum and bunny in to class.She was generous enough to let Layla have it because hers went missing.

Hey look there's... Sophie W! Sophie is the other speech finalist like Tayla. Her speech is on  why dogs are better than cats.

Look! There's Tayla  she is one of the speech finalist's from Rm20. Her speech is on her brother and after her speech Tayla's brother got up and shook hands with Mr Noble Campbell.

Hello Emily. Room 20 has a new classmate and her name is Emily. We were super excited because we have had two people in our class that are Cyris and Aadil  but they left us. Sebastian finally has a spelling partner. Emily's lovely sister Lucy took this photo of us.

On Friday the 25th Seb, Ben, Ella.S, Sophie, Chelsea and  Mackenzie got special certificates for learning their Essential spelling words. These words are really important to learn as they are the words most commonly used in writing. They make up 75% of words most commonly used. Well done! We're looking forward to having more super spellers in Room 20!

In August the 21 Seb, Ella, Caleb, Kyan, and Harley got their Mathletics certificates They got 1000 points on the computer. Well done!

Sophie F, Ben R and Benjamin N are the first recipients of our special Essential Spelling certificates. They have a leprechaun certificate and know all Lists 1 to 4. Year 4's need to get this certificate by the end of the year. Everyone though is aiming for a rainbow certificate and that they can spell lists 1 right through to 7!

Thank you so much Ryan for all the wonderful books that you donated to our class library. Your classmates are really excited to start reading them. What an amazing contributor you are!

On Wednesday 16th August  Room 20 had their Essential spelling test list 1-7. They're practicing hard to get them all right by the end of the year!

We had a  parade that you could dance sing and have fun. We got to go class by class. Mrs Rutherford was away sick and we had Treebeard from Middle Earth teach us for the day. 

On Thursday 9th August

Lennox got Geronimo Stilton's signature. Lennox was so happy that he got the signature and got a hug with him.

On Wednesday 9th August
 We battled the teacher by our 5 times tables. I bet the whole class then we got to beat the teacher. Then the teacher helper got to say the 5 time tables we all got 5 points. Lucas got bragging rights and actually bet the teacher!

Mr Nobel Campbell came into our class and read us a book called the ginger bread boy it was fun we loved the time we had with Mr Nobel Campbell.  Thank you Mr Nobel Campbell for coming into our class.h

Room 20 mathletics certificates stars.  Six people got the certificates. Every time room 20 people get  get 1000 points for mathletics certificates. We get them every Monday well done to every six people who got the certificates.

 

On Monday 7 August 

Room 20 went to the book fair in Room 9  and were confronted by Mrs Aldridge`s hard work and dedication. We can't wait to do all the great book week activities that are planned this week.

Sadly one of Room 20's stars is leaving. His name is Aadil and he has been with us for one term. On the bright side Room 20 has enjoyed his visit to New Zealand and we all would like him to remember us.

Room 20 has two compliments for Mrs Spick and that is our 60th compliment you see if we get our 100th compliment we get a pizza party at the end of the year by Lucas relph

Welcome Mr Nobel Campbell

For home learning Room 20 wrote letters to Mr Noble Campbell. We published them on Friday and made flax (harekeke) flowers for him. We scratched our names onto them. While Kyan, Seb and Heath were out cutting the flax they saw Mr Noble Campbell. He asked them what they were doing. They had to tell a little white lie and say they were making flowers for their buddy class. They owned up when they delivered them to him just before lunch.
